KGAGMOF HAS GIVEN A MEMORANDUM TO THE DISM DEMANDING PART TIME PhD AYURVEDA COURSE FOR MO'S

Madam,

         Sub- Permitting PhD Ayurveda course as part time

          The University of Kerala has  started Ph D in Ayurveda. The first entrance test was on march 2011 and second Entrance test was on October 2011. Seven Medical Officers of ISM department  are qualified for Doctorate studies through these two entrance examinations now. As part time Ph D is not allowed for our MOs, they are not able to straightly register now. Medical officers are to be recommended by the University Syndicate for part time enrollment. Already three medical officers got recommendation from syndicate. Again four are on the way of attaining it. Every time this process had to be done if ISM dept.doctors are qualified through the exam.

          KGAGMOF request you to forward a letter to the University of Kerala to allow the  Medical Officers of ISM dept for part time  Ph D enrollment. As you know ISM dept is known as a body that delivers Health care in a research oriented clinical approach in Kerala. The caliber of our new PhD holders will surely give a new voltage to the quality of ISM service in future.

            By considering these circumstances, we request you to recommend part time PhD Enrollment for our MOs in  University of Kerala.

        Sub- Facility for part time PhD in GAVC, Tvpm

          The University of Kerala has  started Ph D In Ayurveda. The first  Entrance Examination for PhD  was being conducted on March 2011 and second one on October 2011 respectively. Seven Medical Officers of ISM dept have been qualified for  doctorate studies through these entrance examinations now. Out of seven, three Medical officers are already recommended  by the University Syndicate and the rest of the MOs are waiting for their turn. But for the registration,   facilitation certificate from  Govt  Ayurveda College,TVPM is inevitable for their course. As you know Govt Ayurveda College, Tvpm is  approved as the Centre of Excellence,  only where part time PhD is permitted now under the university of kerala.

       In these circumstances, KGAGMOF request you to forward a letter to DAME for providing necessary facilities to the qualified ISM MOs to be given facilitation for part time Ph D at Govt Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram.

DISCUSSIONS WITH AUTHORITIES OF FINANCE & HEALTH DPT

Federation leaders have done official discussions with Dr V P Joy, Principal
Secretary of Finance and Sri Rajeev Sadanandan, Principal Secretary of Health
& FW in their chambers on today evening the 7th of August tuesday. Detailed
memorandum is submitted to the Secretary of Finance.

Health secretary- 07.08.2012; 5pm

1. He appreciated KGAGMOF for their scientific committee activities to render a
total backing for department tasks.

2. “The out reach of ISM Dpt in preventive aspects should be proved through your
well defined duties which is to be implemented”- He added.

3. He promised his full support in the objectives of KGAGMOF as a responsible
service organization.

Finance Secretary -07.08.2012; 5.30pm

1. He assured to rectify the reported anomalies in the Career Advancement Scheme.

2. The difference in basic pay on 8th year Higher Grade between SMOs & MOs is to
be rectified first. SMO basic will be raised.
3. The disparity with other professional categories on 15th year Senior Grade may be
solved by enhancing the present basic pay of CMOs.

4. Federation leaders expressed their gratitude to Dr V P Joy for the speedy
sanctioning PG allowances and approving the MO, SMO, CMO ratio promotion
file.

Dr K V Baiju, General Secretary, KGAGMOF, Dr P Haridas, President
South Zone and Dr P R Jaya, President, Tvpm district committee have attended in
the sessions.
